A 63-year-old man was seriously injured in a collision between a car and a motorcycle in Kalmar on Thursday. He is being treated in the intensive care unit at the county hospital.
The accident occurred around 3 p.m. at the intersection of Tyska vägen and Norrlidsvägen. A passenger car and a motorcycle collided.
The 63-year-old motorcyclist, resident in southern Kalmar county, was taken to intensive care. A man in his 20s suffered minor injuries and did not require hospital admission.
Police suspect the younger man of careless driving. Two people were taken to hospital in total after the incident.
