Bungie will make its extraction shooter Marathon free to play for seven days at the start of season 2. The open play period runs from June 2 to June 9 on Steam, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. Progress made during the week will carry over.
Season 2 begins June 2. Bungie announced the limited free access period in a blog post, noting that all players will start on a clean slate and can invite friends to join crews. Console users need a paid subscription for online play while PC access remains free as usual.
