Polda Metro Jaya is operating mobile SIM services on Wednesday, December 10, 2025, to facilitate SIM renewals for residents in Jakarta, Bogor, Bekasi, and Bandung. The service is limited to active SIM A and C, available at various malls and public facilities.
Every motor vehicle driver in Indonesia must possess a valid Driving License (SIM) as official identification and proof of legality on public roads. With a validity period of only five years, renewal is required before expiration to avoid the need for a new application at the Traffic Administration Unit (Satpas).
On December 10, 2025, Polda Metro Jaya provides mobile SIM services to streamline renewals without long queues. In Central Jakarta, residents can visit the Lapangan Banteng Post Office. For East Jakarta, services are at Mall Grand Cakung. South Jakarta offers assistance at Trilogi Kalibata Campus, while West Jakarta is at Citraland Mall from 08:00 to 14:00 WIB.
The service extends to surrounding areas. In Bandung, mobile units operate at ITC Kebon Kelapa and Ubertos starting at 08:00 WIB until completion. Bekasi residents can go to Metropolitan Mall Bekasi from 08:00 to 10:00 WIB, with limited slots. In Bogor, the service runs at Mall BTW from 09:00 to 12:00 WIB.
Only active SIM A and C can be renewed via this program; expired ones require full reapplication at Satpas. Requirements include a photocopy of a valid ID card (KTP), the original SIM with photocopy, and proof of health examination from an official facility. Renewal fees are set at Rp80,000 for SIM A and Rp75,000 for SIM C, per Government Regulation No. 60 of 2016 on Non-Tax State Revenue.
This initiative aims to enhance public service efficiency for drivers, enabling quicker and easier SIM renewals.
