MSI's Claw 8 EX AI+ handheld set for June 23 release

MSI will release its Claw 8 EX AI+ premium gaming handheld on June 23. The device features an Intel Arc G3 Extreme chip and is expected to cost around $1,500.

MSI revealed the handheld at a hands-on event held at its headquarters in Taipei, Taiwan, ahead of Computex 2026. The new model builds on earlier Claw devices launched in 2024 that started at about $800. It includes up to 32GB of memory, an 80Wh battery and an eight-inch display with 1,920 x 1,200 resolution at 120Hz refresh rate. An updated SSD design allows easy storage upgrades via an M.2 2280 slot, while improved haptics and ergonomic changes enhance the buttons and joysticks.
