Green hyped up Gillespie with a roar, a dap, and a loud "Yeah!" As Goodwin left the frame, Green stayed and said, "They can't f*** with you!" Gillespie, surprised, responded, "Oh, my God. On live TV, bro?" The interviewer noted, "It's a family show!" Green replied, "I don't care," before dapping up Gillespie again and exiting as Gillespie called him "my dawg."
The fine was announced by NBA Executive Vice President James Jones, Head of Basketball Operations. Green, acquired from the Houston Rockets in the offseason Kevin Durant trade, has been sidelined by a right hamstring strain aggravated early in the season. His performance reflects the Suns' improved start at 19-13, placing them seventh in the Western Conference under first-year head coach Jordan Ott, despite the absence of Kevin Durant and Bradley Beal. Dillon Brooks, also from the Durant trade, leads scoring behind Booker with 21.5 points per game.
