NBC will air an early premiere of Tracy Morgan's new comedy series, The Fall and Rise of Reggie Dinkins, this Sunday following an NFL playoff game. The show stars Morgan as a former football star seeking to rebuild his image. It will then move to its regular Monday slot in late February.
Tracy Morgan, known for his role on 30 Rock, stars in the upcoming NBC comedy The Fall and Rise of Reggie Dinkins. The network has planned a special early debut for the series on Sunday, January 18, at 10 p.m., right after the NFL divisional round playoff game featuring the Los Angeles Rams against the Chicago Bears.
The series follows Reggie Dinkins, a former football star working to restore his reputation. As per the official description, "In order to earn back the admiration of his fans and the respect of his family, Reggie will also have to confront the ghosts of his past."
Joining Morgan is Daniel Radcliffe, the Harry Potter alum, who portrays Arthur Tobin, an award-winning filmmaker documenting Reggie's journey. The ensemble cast also features Erika Alexander, Bobby Moynihan, Precious Way, and Jalyn Hall.
After the preview episode, the show resumes its regular schedule on Monday, February 23, with an encore of the pilot airing at 8 p.m., followed by a new episode at 8:30 p.m.
This early airing leverages the high viewership of the NFL playoffs to introduce the comedy to a broader audience ahead of its full launch.
