NVIDIA and Bolt partner for European robotaxis

NVIDIA and Bolt have announced a partnership to develop robotaxis in Europe, leveraging NVIDIA's AI technologies and Bolt's fleet data. The collaboration was revealed at GTC 2026. No timeline for deployment has been set.

At NVIDIA's GTC 2026 event, the company and European rideshare firm Bolt unveiled a partnership aimed at advancing autonomous vehicles. Bolt will integrate NVIDIA's technologies, including the Drive Hyperion platform, into its fleet. This setup allows Bolt to use NVIDIA Cosmos for curating and searching driving data, and Omniverse to create digital twins from real-world logs. Cosmos will also generate and augment data at scale, while the Alpamayo model trains AI for safe driving in European cities' diverse conditions. Bolt's operational data will form a 'learning engine' for these AVs, with compliance to GDPR standards ensured. The partnership provides open-source access to the data for European universities and small- and medium-sized businesses. NVIDIA EMEA Automotive VP Philippe Van Den Berge stated: 'Autonomous vehicles require a full-stack approach that unifies AI models, high-performance compute, and a robust sensor architecture. By combining Bolt's real-world operational data with the NVIDIA Drive Hyperion platform, AI infrastructure, and open models & libraries across Omniverse, Cosmos, and Alpamayo, we're enabling a scalable foundation for safe, high-performance autonomous mobility services designed for the complexity and diversity of European roads.' Bolt had previously announced ties with Pony.ai and Stellantis in late 2025. The companies have not disclosed a rollout timeline for NVIDIA-powered Bolt robotaxis.
