A man in his 60s was arrested at his home on Tuesday morning on suspicion of three rapes. According to Aftonbladet the man is a police officer who has held a managerial position within the authority.
The case began in September 2025. The man was arrested early on Tuesday morning after having been detained in his absence. He is suspected of three rapes committed between 2023 and 2025.
The investigation is led by the special prosecutor's office that handles suspicions against police officers and other special office holders. The man has according to the information worked for a long time within the police and held a managerial position.
Aftonbladet has contacted the man's lawyer who declined to comment. The prosecutor in the case has not responded to the newspaper's questions either.
