PP secretary general Miguel Tellado has attacked the PNV during an event in Bilbao for backing the PSOE amid corruption scandals.
Tellado stated that the PNV sustains the party of corruption in power. He criticized statements by PNV president Aitor Esteban, whom he called a socialist and said the mask had fallen.
The PP leader linked several judicial cases to the PSOE, including the alleged plot involving Begoña Gómez and José Luis Rodríguez Zapatero. He demanded early elections instead of a congressional appearance.
Javier de Andrés, president of the Basque PP, noted that the PNV has surrendered to the PSOE and depends on it in all institutions. The event took place in Indautxu, Bilbao, on May 30, 2026.
