Putred releases new single from upcoming album

Romanian death metal band Putred has unveiled their first single, "Devorat de Întuneric," from the forthcoming album Blestemul din Adânc. The track offers a glimpse into the band's intense sound ahead of the album's March 20 release across multiple formats.

Putred, a Romanian death metal outfit, has dropped "Devorat de Întuneric" as the lead single from their upcoming album Blestemul din Adânc. The release, announced on January 19, 2026, highlights the band's signature style of heavy, atmospheric riffs and guttural vocals.

The album is set for March 20, available on CD via Awakening Records, cassette through Iron Fortress Records, and 12-inch vinyl from Futhark Records. The track list includes: Pandemonium (intro), Sfâșiat… Stigmatizat, Blestemul din Adânc, Întâlnirea Mortală, Cripta Vrăjilor, Devorat de Întuneric, Groapa Oaselor, Catacombe Sângerii, Ultimul Clopot, and a cover of Benediction's Subconscious Terror.

Describing the single, the band stated: “Fat bottom end of a swamp, decomposing in decadence, cadaveric ultra-low vocals chanting fatalist lines, caveman riffs and a rhythm section straight from the darkest catacombs, oppressive atmosphere at a hypnotic pace that crawls inside your head like maggots devouring your brain.”

Putred's lineup features Filip on vocals, Uriel and Denis on guitars, Corina on bass, and Ficus on drums. Fans can stream the single on YouTube and follow the band on Facebook for updates. This release underscores Putred's commitment to raw, underground death metal with themes of darkness and decay.
