Region Dalarna plans to allocate 41 million kronor to Cosmic

Region Dalarna’s majority presented a 2027 budget on Monday that includes 41.6 million kronor to stabilize the Cosmic medical records system.

Samling för Dalarna, comprising the Centre Party, Social Democrats, Dalarnas sjukvårdsparti and Christian Democrats, presented the proposal on Monday.

Regional councillor Elin Norén (S) said the money would rather have been used elsewhere but that stabilising Cosmic is necessary.

The region reported a surplus of 704 million kronor for 2025 while criticism of the system has been extensive.

Opposition councillor Ulf Berg (M) instead advocates a rapid investigation into a local Dala-cosmic and believes that sending more money to the joint Sussa solution feels wrong.
