A serious personal accident at Châtelet – Les Halles station on Friday 8 May severely disrupted RER A traffic for several hours. Firefighters and emergency services responded around 5 p.m.
The line’s X account announced the traffic interruption between Nation and Auber, with major disruptions across the rest of the line. Emergency teams were quickly dispatched to the scene.
Traffic resumption, initially expected around 8 p.m., only occurred near 9 p.m. A second passenger incident at Nanterre-Préfecture also affected the line shortly afterward.
Meanwhile, the RER B experienced similar disruptions after an accident at Laplace station in Arcueil. No trains ran between Denfert-Rochereau and Bourg-la-Reine for more than three hours.
