Linköping HC announced that Robin Kovacs invoked his out clause, ending his contract with the club. The decision came hours before the clause expired on April 30, 2026. Sportchef Broc Little stated, “Robin had an out clause in his contract which he has chosen to use. We want to thank Robin for his efforts in Linköping and wish him good luck in his continued career.”Kovacs joined LHC two years ago with a deal running until 2028. He dominated as the team's leading point producer last season, winning the internal scoring race convincingly. Earlier talks with AIK collapsed on Wednesday over issues like insurance solutions, bonuses, and contract structure, according to Expressen.AIK vd Stefan “Myran” Gustavson explained the breakdown, saying, “We have had a dialogue, said that we are interested in Kovacs and got okay from our financiers to a certain amount of money. That offer has been increased one, two times and finally we have given a bid that is what we can stretch to max. A bid that we think is extremely good.
