Mohamed Salah said an emotional goodbye to Liverpool after the team's 1-1 draw with Brentford on Sunday afternoon. The Egyptian forward started the match and played 74 minutes before being substituted to a hero's reception from the Kop.
Salah and teammate Andy Robertson, who also made his final appearance, returned to the pitch at the final whistle. Salah shed tears as fans sang his name, later telling Sky Sports that he had cried more than in his whole life. He reflected on his time at the club, saying they had won it all and put Liverpool back where it belongs.
