President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. said he would insist on attending an impeachment trial if accused to answer questions directly. The trial is set to examine four articles covering confidential fund misuse, unexplained wealth, bribery, and threats against government leaders.
Conviction requires at least 16 votes from the 24-member Senate. Senators Jose Estrada and Ronald dela Rosa are not expected to attend due to legal issues.
