The incident unfolded around 5:40 p.m. on Wednesday at a home on Broad Street in Williston Park, a Nassau County community on Long Island. According to the Nassau County Police Department, Strano and his mother argued before the confrontation turned violent. He pushed her to the ground, repeatedly slammed her head into it, punched her face multiple times, choked her, and hit her head with a blunt metal object identified by prosecutors as a metal clamp, News 12 Long Island reported. During the assault, Strano reportedly shouted, 'Why are you still breathing?' and 'Why aren't you dying?'.
