Tahereh Mafi delays final This Woven Kingdom book to spring 2027

Author Tahereh Mafi has postponed the release of the fifth and final book in her This Woven Kingdom series from fall 2026 to spring 2027. She announced the change on Instagram, citing the need for more time to ensure a proper send-off. The delay allows space in her publishing schedule amid other projects.

Tahereh Mafi, known for her bestselling fantasy series, shared the updated timeline for the concluding installment of This Woven Kingdom via an Instagram story last week. The author explained that she had previously mentioned taking additional time with the book to accommodate a fitting launch. "You might've seen me mention a few months ago that i'd be taking a little more time with this book. I also wanted extra room in the pub schedule so that i'd be able to give this book a proper send-off into the world. We're planning for a really fun book launch," Mafi wrote.

She reassured fans about the project's progress, stating, "Rest assured the manuscript is alive and with me. i love these books. i'm so grateful this story has found its readers." The new schedule places the book in spring 2027, with a cover and title reveal expected in the coming months. This shifts it from the original fall 2026 slot outlined in Mafi's December 14, 2024, Instagram post.

The This Woven Kingdom series draws from Persian mythology and centers on Alizeh, the disguised heir to the Jinn throne, navigating relationships with Prince Kamran of Ardunia and King Cyrus of Tulan amid prophecy, political intrigue, secret identities, and forbidden love. Previous volumes include This Woven Kingdom (February 2022), These Infinite Threads (February 2023), All This Twisted Glory (February 2024), and Every Spiral of Fate (September 2025).

Mafi's decision aligns with her commitments to the Watch Me series, a spinoff of Shatter Me, which debuted in April 2025. The next book, Release Me, arrives on April 7, 2026. Her original plan had Watch Me #3 in spring 2027, but the adjustment prioritizes the Woven Kingdom finale.
