Three people in their 70s and 80s have died in drowning accidents at different locations in Sweden on Tuesday.

An 85-year-old man drowned in Sämsjön outside Herrljunga. Rescue services and police were alerted after he disappeared during a swim. He was found lifeless shortly before 5 p.m. and life-saving measures could not save him.

An 80-year-old man died in Amundebosjön in Ulrika outside Linköping. He had been at the lake with a friend and was later found in the water. Ambulance and rescue services took him to hospital but his life could not be saved.

A woman in her 70s was found lifeless in the water at Mellbystrand outside Laholm. CPR was started but she could not be saved. Police suspect no crime in any of the cases and relatives have been notified.
