The University of Chile's Law Faculty created the Abogado Arturo Prat Scholarship in 2026 to support top incoming students in the program.
The scholarship covers full first-year tuition for students who enter at the top of the regular admission process. Its first recipients were Facundo Molina Ramírez, Martín Streeter Velasco and Simón Escobar Pérez.
Requirements include enrollment in the first year of Law at the Casa de Bello, top placement in the admission process and no other scholarship.
The announcement coincides with the May 21 commemoration of the Naval Combat of Iquique. In that context, attention is also drawn to Arturo Prat's thesis titled Observaciones a la Lei Electoral Vijente, submitted on July 26, 1876.
