Uppsala Municipality will open Luthagens Gymnasium on Götgatan in the autumn term of 2027. Operations will move from Uppsala Yrkesgymnasium Ekeby.
The new school will take in approximately 300–350 pupils. It will be established in the former premises of Fyrisskolan.
The restaurant and food programme will move to Luthagens Gymnasium. The education will focus on kitchen, bakery and serving.
Christine Kastner Johnson, head of municipal upper secondary school, says Luthagens Gymnasium will be an important step in developing vocational education with links to industry needs.
Work on construction, planning and coordination is under way. More information will come closer to the upper secondary school fair and choice.
