Viggo Björck is moving from Djurgården to the NHL's Winnipeg Jets. The departure, confirmed in mid-July, leaves the SHL club preparing for the 2026/27 season without the forward.
Challe Berglund, a former Djurgården player and current expert, analyzed the team's situation. He noted that the club had anticipated the loss and conducted scouting in advance.
Berglund outlined possible forward lines without Björck. These include Joe Snively, Jacob Josefson and Charles Hudon on the first line, followed by Lukas Vejdemo and Noel Gunler on the second.
Djurgården needs additional forwards, particularly a top-six player and possibly a center, given injury concerns with players like Marcus Krüger. Berglund described Björck as highly skilled and difficult to replace.
