Texas man gets 34 years for plotting teen's murder

Cody Arnold, who was 21 at the time, received a 34-year prison sentence for his role in the 2022 killing of 16-year-old Katelynn Stone in Jefferson County, Texas. His co-defendant, Chelsea Shipp, had earlier pleaded guilty and was sentenced to 40 years. Prosecutors said the pair feared Arnold would face legal trouble after Stone became pregnant.
