The winners of the 2026 Eisner Awards were announced this past weekend at San Diego Comic-Con. The awards recognize comics published in the United States during the previous year.
The 2026 Eisner Awards honored works across 32 categories. Finalists came from 75 publishers, with DC Comics receiving 16 nominations, Fantagraphics 14, and Image Comics 12.
Winners included Best Short Story for “Blood Harvest” in Brain Damage by Shintaro Kago. Absolute Batman 2025 Annual #1 took Best One Shot/Single Issue.
Other awards went to Assorted Crisis Events for Best New Series and All the Hulk Feels for Best Publication for Early Readers. It Rhymes with Takei by George Takei received Best Graphic Memoir.
