A 21-year-old man has been sentenced to life imprisonment for murdering three young men in a hair salon in Uppsala last year. The verdict was delivered by Uppsala District Court on Tuesday.
The shooting occurred at 5 p.m. on April 29, 2025, in the Fålhagen district. A masked man first fired at two people outside the salon and then followed one inside. Three young men aged 15, 16 and 20 were killed.
Fredric Gülich Brendling, 21, from the Stockholm area was convicted of three murders, four attempted murders and two counts of gross weapons offenses. He denies the crimes, but the court found the evidence conclusive.
An 18-year-old man was sentenced to seven years and four months in prison for aiding and abetting. A 26-year-old received four years and ten months for gross protection of a criminal and weapons offenses. Two others were acquitted.
