A man in his mid-20s in Jönköping has been sentenced to eight months in prison after exposing himself to 14 women during the spring.
The man was convicted of several counts of sexual harassment as well as gross home violation. The first incident occurred on April 21 when he exposed himself to a woman on a bus toward Resecentrum in Jönköping. The events continued afterward, including at Rocksjön and Dunkehalla cemetery.
On May 5 the incidents peaked when the man exposed himself to several women at Rocksjön on the same day. He was also convicted for breaking into relatives' home. A forensic psychiatric examination found that he did not suffer from any serious mental disorder at the time of the crimes.
The man must pay over 70,000 kronor in damages to the affected women. The verdict was announced on July 30, 2026.
