The revelation came on Cam Heyward’s Not Just Football podcast. Donald said he would have accepted the position despite limited prior experience.
The Los Angeles Rams selected Donald 13th overall that year, two spots before the Steelers picked at No. 15. Donald recalled pre-draft meetings where the Steelers and Arizona Cardinals had him perform linebacker drills and work from a two-point stance. He told the podcast hosts he responded by saying he would play wherever the team wanted him to play.
