Colombia's National Police captured two suspected drug traffickers in Campoalegre, Huila, after raiding a drug sales point. Over 120 doses of hallucinogenic substances and cash were seized. One suspect was sent to prison, while the other was released on conditional freedom.
In an operation relying on intelligence and Policía Judicial work, units from the Seccional de Investigación Criminal (SIJIN) carried out a search and raid warrant on a house in the La Caraguaja sector of Campoalegre municipality. The property apparently functioned as a collection center for dosing and selling narcotics.
The captured individuals, known by the aliases 'Pescador' and 'La Achipiz', attempted to flee through the back of the house upon noticing the police presence and headed to a nearby green area to hide, but they were intercepted. During the procedure, authorities found about 100 doses of marijuana, 36 doses of bazuco, and cash, presumably from the illicit activity.
The suspects were handed over to the on-duty Fiscalía URI for the crimes of drug trafficking, manufacturing, and possession. After preliminary hearings, alias 'Pescador' was given a prison assurance measure, while 'La Achipiz' was released, though she remains linked to the judicial process.
This intervention is part of the National Police's ongoing efforts to dismantle drug sales points in the Huila region.
