AMIA releases video using Muchachos song to honor 1994 attack victims

AMIA released a video that uses the song Muchachos to recall the lives cut short of the 85 victims of the 1994 attack. The material was published days before the 32nd anniversary.

The institution presented the audiovisual campaign on July 3 under the slogan Today We Cannot Lose Memory. The video adapts the lyrics of Muchachos to note that the victims could not experience events such as the national team's triumph in Qatar 2022 or other World Cup finals.

Jennifer Dubin daughter of one of the victims appears in the material and recalls her father's absence during the 2014 Brazil final. Actor Federico D'Elía closes the video with a message highlighting that the 85 people killed lost everything that came after July 18 1994.

The central ceremony will take place on July 17 at 9:53 in front of the Pasteur 633 headquarters to avoid coinciding with Shabbat. The event will include the siren sound and will renew calls for justice for the still unpunished attack.
