Singer Ángela Aguilar confirmed plans for a religious wedding with Christian Nodal in May 2026. The ceremony is rumored to take place at El Soyate ranch, despite a recent shooting in the area. Pepe Aguilar, Ángela's father, stated they will not back down from the plans.
Ángela Aguilar and Christian Nodal were married civilly in July 2024 at a hacienda in Cuernavaca, in a discreet ceremony with few guests, including Marc Anthony. Two months earlier, in May 2024, they held a symbolic union during a vacation in Italy.
In November 2024, while on tour in the United States, Ángela Aguilar was approached by fans and confirmed the religious wedding. In a video shared by the program Sale el sol, she said: “Come to my wedding, I'm getting married in May, by the church (...) See if my husband lets you (be godparents)”. She did not disclose exact details on the date or location, but on Maxine Woodside's Radio Fórmula program, rumors surfaced that the ceremony would occur at El Soyate ranch, the Aguilar family's property in Zacatecas.
Influencer Kunno, a close friend of Ángela, revealed in an interview for De Primera Mano that he has been invited but is in a conflict with Aneliz Aguilar over the maid of honor role. Kunno described Pepe Aguilar as treating him “like another son” and confirmed his friendship with Ángela.
Recently, a shooting took place near El Soyate, where Nodal and Ángela were present. Zacatecas authorities, including prosecutor Cristian Paul Camacho and secretary Rodrigo Reyes Muguerza, stated that the armed attack targeted a security convoy during an operation against an alleged regional criminal leader, not the family. Pepe Aguilar spoke with the prosecutor and stressed: “I'm not backing down”, conveying that the aggression was not directed at them. After the incident, the couple was escorted to the airport to fulfill commitments, such as a concert at the Auditorio Nacional.
