APC extends sale and submission deadlines for 2027 primaries

Ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) has extended deadlines for sale and submission of nomination forms for its 2027 primaries. The decision cites a public holiday and high interest from aspirants. New deadlines are May 4 for sales and May 5 for submissions.

The All Progressives Congress (APC) extended the deadlines for the sale and submission of expression of interest and nomination forms for its 2027 general election primaries. The party's National Working Committee (NWC) approved the change during a meeting on Thursday at the APC National Secretariat in Abuja.

Deputy National Publicity Secretary Durosinmi Meseko announced the decision. He stated that the sale of forms will now close at midnight on Monday, May 4, 2026, while submission of completed forms is due by midnight on Tuesday, May 5, 2026.

Originally, form sales were set to end on Saturday, May 2, 2026, with submissions closing on Monday, May 4, 2026. Meseko explained that the extension accommodates the disruption from Friday's public holiday and the unusually high volume of interest from aspirants across the country.

Daily Trust reported that the APC extended sales of nomination and expression of interest forms, originally scheduled to end on Saturday, May 2.
