Ariadna Montiel and Sheinbaum deliver pension to women in Nayarit

Welfare Secretary Ariadna Montiel and President Claudia Sheinbaum took part in delivering the Women's Welfare Pension in Santiago Ixcuintla, Nayarit. The event highlighted women's role in social transformation. Earlier in Tepic, they delivered housing titles and forgave home debts.

On Saturday, Ariadna Montiel Reyes, head of the Secretariat of Welfare, delivered the Women's Welfare Pension in Santiago Ixcuintla, Nayarit, accompanied by President Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo. With them were Citlalli Hernández, secretary of Women; Edna Vega Rangel, secretary of Agrarian, Territorial and Urban Development; and the tourism secretary. Montiel stated that 'the strength of women is the heart of the transformation,' emphasizing the importance of listening directly to beneficiaries to drive changes in communities.

The program aims to strengthen women's economic autonomy through direct supports, recognizing their central role in social development. Sheinbaum's presence reinforces the federal commitment to this public policy, framed in a strategy to bring social programs closer to communities and encourage active participation in building a more equitable country.

Earlier in Tepic, Nayarit, Sheinbaum and Montiel led the delivery of 510 housing titles and certificates of credit reductions as part of the Housing for Welfare program. This included 146 titles for Infonavit debts, 107 from Fovissste, and 257 from the National Institute of Sustainable Land (INSUS). The action seeks to provide justice to families affected by unpayable credits from the neoliberal era, which exceeded the original value of the homes. In total, five million rights-holders in Mexico will benefit from condonations, waivers, and discounts on unpayable credits.
