Black Oak County releases single 'Kill the Pain' from upcoming album

Danish hard rock band Black Oak County has unveiled 'Kill the Pain,' the lead single from their forthcoming album 'Misprint.' The track, described as one of the band's heaviest, addresses themes of division and dehumanisation in modern society. The full album is set for release on April 10, 2026, via Mighty Music.

Black Oak County, a Danish groove and hard rock outfit, announced their new album 'Misprint' with the release of its opening track, 'Kill the Pain.' The digital single became available on streaming platforms on February 13, 2026. This song features crushing riffs, groove-heavy production, and an explosive chorus, serving as a wake-up call to confront growing societal issues like violence and dehumanisation. It was written amid global unrest and personal challenges, emphasizing action over apathy and a call to unite against despair.

'Misprint' marks the band's fourth full-length album, following their award-winning 'III' from 2024. The record explores feelings of being out of place and the harm of unspoken emotions, blending dark themes with elements of resolve, love, and defiance. Produced, engineered, mixed, and mastered by Nicklas Sonne of Defecto, the album incorporates aggression, melody, and subtle synths while maintaining a direct hard rock sound suited for live performances.

Black Oak County has gained recognition through touring and prior releases, securing Årets Single for 'Save Your Breath' at Den Hårde Tone 2024 and Årets Rock Single for 'Boom Boom Baby' at the Danish Alternative Music Awards 2025. To promote 'Misprint,' the band plans an extensive tour, including their first full headline run in Germany.

The album will appear in formats including a limited-edition gatefold LP on splatter orange vinyl (500 copies), digipack CD, and digital, all via Mighty Music.
