Bruno Mars confirms new solo album is complete

Bruno Mars has announced the completion of his fourth solo album, marking his first solo project since 2016's 24K Magic. The singer shared the news briefly on social media, offering few additional details about the upcoming release. This follows a period of successful collaborations for the artist.

Bruno Mars, the pop artist known for his hit-filled discography, revealed on Monday via X that his latest solo album is finished. In a simple post, he stated, “My album is done,” providing scant information on the record's content or release date.

This upcoming project represents Mars's first solo effort in a decade, since the release of 24K Magic in 2016. That album became a commercial and critical success, earning seven Grammy Awards, including Album of the Year, Record of the Year for the title track, and Song of the Year for “That’s What I Like.” It featured popular singles such as “That’s What I Like,” “Versace on the Floor,” and “Finesse.”

In the intervening years, Mars collaborated extensively. He partnered with Anderson .Paak to form Silk Sonic, releasing An Evening With Silk Sonic in 2021. The duo's lead single, “Leave the Door Open,” secured Record of the Year and Song of the Year at the 2022 Grammys, along with two additional awards. However, Silk Sonic chose not to submit the full album for consideration. Reflecting on this, Mars told Rolling Stone, “We thank the Grammys for allowing us to perform on their platform — not once but twice — and awarding us at last year’s ceremony. We’d be crazy to ask for anything more.”

More recently, Mars has featured on tracks like “Fat, Juicy & Wet” with Sexyy Redd, “Die With a Smile” with Lady Gaga—which won a Grammy in 2025—and “APT” with Rosé, released at the end of 2024. The latter collaboration has earned three Grammy nominations for the upcoming awards, including Record of the Year and Song of the Year.

Fans have eagerly awaited new solo material from Mars, whose blend of funk, pop, and R&B has defined much of his career.
