Canada defeated Slovakia 5–1 in the ice hockey world championship. The result keeps Sweden's playoff hopes alive ahead of their match against Slovakia.

Canada defeated Slovakia 5–1 on Sunday. The win means Sweden can still reach the quarterfinals if the team beats Slovakia on Tuesday.

Sweden sits fifth in group B after losses to Canada, Czechia and Norway. A victory over Slovakia is required to keep playoff hopes alive.

Head coach Sam Hallam stressed that the team cannot control other results. The match against Slovakia starts Tuesday at 16:20.

Well...i mean i kinda expected Canada to win. It's Canada. I hoped for smaller goal difference, but oh well. It was hard and even physically aggresive (mainly from canadian side) match.
