Key Fixes in Activities
Update 9.5.0.1 targets several issues in the Renegades mode, such as preventing soft locks in missions like Welcome to the Frontier and Imperium. It also ensures the Glory Beyond mission respects player-selected difficulty and improves Info Broker feedback on missing collectibles. In Lawless Frontier, changes include interruptible coinflip animations, 35% damage resistance for Invader Behemoths against enemy Supers, and increased damage from Stasis Freeze and Strand Suspend on player-controlled Behemoths. The Vex Stun Field now deals constant damage to enemy vehicles, and Recon Shanks have updated scanning behaviors with corrected charge displays.
New Vanguard Alerts System
A dedicated Vanguard Alerts page has been added to the Seasonal Hub, featuring Quickplay options for Fireteam Ops, Arena Ops, and Crucible Ops, plus Grandmaster Vanguard Alerts and activities like The Desert Perpetual Raid. Challenges offer tiered rewards: the first stage provides a pre-Masterworked weekly weapon with a unique origin trait and gear, while later stages yield additional engrams at higher power levels. Grandmaster completions grant Pinnacle weapons and relevant loot based on performance grades.
Portal and Other Adjustments
Portal Quickplay scoring has been tuned for better accessibility, with a new rotating node for Arena Ops covering Astral Alignment, Ketchcrash, and Nightmare Containment. Loot reallocation now stacks visibly, and Derealize Exotic Mission rewards have been fixed for intrinsics and catalysts. In Crucible, the Avant-Garde modifier is removed from rotators. Raid vendors correctly handle Cusp Sempiternal purchases, and general fixes address crashes in Iconoclasm. Weapon and ability tweaks include Banner Shield reloading, Shatterdive audio, and catalyst progression for items like Barrow-Dyad.
