Egyptian Commercial Service Delegation Visits Benha Investment Zone

A delegation from the Egyptian Commercial Service visited the Benha Investment Zone in Qalyubeya to assess export capabilities of local companies. The visit forms part of efforts directed by Minister Mohamed Farid to expand international market access.

The delegation met companies in the food industries, agricultural processing, packaging and post-harvest sectors. Discussions covered expansion plans, production capacities, overseas challenges and potential export opportunities.

Minister Mohamed Farid stated the ministry is expanding field engagement across investment zones. He said the move will help assess capabilities, address obstacles and support growth in exports.

“We are integrating the capabilities of the Egyptian Commercial Service with companies operating in investment zones to strengthen their export capacity, promote Egyptian brands in global markets and support the state’s objective of doubling exports,” Farid said.

Abdel Aziz El Sherif, head of the Egyptian Commercial Service, noted the authority is rolling out a plan for more visits to identify needs and build partnerships. The Benha zone, inaugurated in 2022, covers 46 feddans and focuses on food and agricultural industries under the General Authority for Investment and Free Zones.
