Bitcoin mining companies Hut 8 and IREN announced large AI infrastructure deals, sending their shares and those of peers higher. The moves come as miners expand into data centers and cloud services for AI developers.

Bitcoin dropped below $67,000 on Tuesday, marking its lowest level since April. The decline triggered nearly $400 million in liquidations within an hour and over $1 billion over 24 hours. Analysts linked the selloff to capital shifting toward AI-related equities and heavy outflows from Bitcoin ETFs.

K Wave Media has redirected $485 million in funding away from a planned Bitcoin treasury strategy toward AI infrastructure investments. The K-Pop firm's stock plunged following the announcement. The shift comes amid company restructuring and efforts to reduce debt.

Bitcoin miner Bitdeer produced 921 BTC in May 2026 while ending the month with 171 BTC on its balance sheet. The figures mark a sharp rise in output from 196 BTC a year earlier but a steep drop in holdings from 1,351 BTC. The update also showed AI Cloud annual recurring revenue holding near 69 million dollars.
