The Equiciety Dressage Championship concluded on January 18, 2026, following intense competitions on Friday and Saturday at the Police Sports Federation arena in Subhan, Kuwait City. The event drew a record turnout of riders, with strong participation from both men and women, showcasing the growing popularity and standard of dressage in Kuwait.
Standout performers included Reem Al-Sultan, Fajr Al-Sabah, Areej Al-Meyaan, Salahuddin Belaroui, Abdullah Al-Gharbally, and Abdullah Al-Hoqal, whose displays emphasized the discipline's technical demands. Winners were crowned by Sheikh Sabah Al-Mubarak and Brigadier General Sheikh Mubarak Ali Al-Yousef, who also recognized the youngest participant, rider Haider Baqer.
Sheikh Sabah Al-Mubarak, speaking at the event, stressed the foundational role of dressage in equestrian sports. "The 2025–2026 season has witnessed a surge in dressage-related events and activities," he said, crediting the Kuwait Equestrian Federation for its support and collaboration with international bodies. These efforts have facilitated championships and training camps to advance the sport.
Brigadier General (Naval) Sheikh Mubarak Ali Al-Yousef Al-Sabah, President of the Police Sports Federation, noted the arena's busy schedule, having hosted multiple events recently. He announced upcoming activities, including weekly local competitions on Fridays, an international championship later in January, and the Equestrian League final in partnership with the Kuwait Equestrian Federation.
