Fallout season two earns nine Emmy nominations

Amazon's Fallout TV series has received nine nominations for the upcoming Emmy Awards. The second season is up for awards in technical categories including sound editing, costumes, and makeup. This is fewer than the 16 nominations it earned for its first season.

The US Academy of Television Arts & Sciences announced the nominations this week. Fallout season two is nominated for Outstanding Sound Editing For A Comedy Or Drama Series, Outstanding Fantasy/Sci-Fi Costumes, and Outstanding Stunt Performance among other categories.

Specific episodes tied to the nods include The Strip, The Profligate, The Demon in the Snow, and The Wrangler. The show missed out on major categories such as Outstanding Drama Series that it competed in previously.

Other series received more nominations this year. HBO Max's The Pitt earned 25, while Apple TV's Widow's Bay and Pluribus received 19 and 18 respectively. Fallout season two was Prime Video's sixth biggest season of all time.
