Fewer bears allowed to be hunted in Dalarna license hunt

The 2026 bear license hunt in Dalarna County covers a total of 50 animals, a reduction from previous years. A new female quota is also being introduced.

The decision on the hunt has prompted reactions from the Hunters' Association. Its chairman Anders Gravsjö is critical of the new female quota.

“I can only laugh at the fact that what one tries to explain to them doesn't get through,” says Anders Gravsjö.

The hunt is scheduled for 2026 and covers fewer animals than previous seasons.
