Florence + the Machine partners with Planned Parenthood on tour

Florence Welch of Florence + the Machine has teamed up with Planned Parenthood to provide reproductive healthcare resources at upcoming tour stops. The partnership begins with the North American leg starting April 8 in Minneapolis. Welch emphasized the importance of access to trusted providers amid ongoing challenges to reproductive rights.

Florence + the Machine announced on April 6 a collaboration with Planned Parenthood for its ongoing Everybody Scream tour. Planned Parenthood affiliates will set up tables at multiple concert venues to connect fans with information on reproductive care. The initiative highlights the urgency of such services during President Donald Trump’s second term and related policies affecting reproductive healthcare access. “Planned Parenthood health centers are a lifeline for millions of people, and they are relentlessly attacked,” Welch said in a statement. “Having access to a trusted provider is essential and also the difference between life and death. In this moment of uncertainty for our rights, I’m proud to support Planned Parenthood and create space on my tour for them to connect people with the care and information they need.” Caren Spruch, national director of arts and entertainment for Planned Parenthood, praised Welch’s advocacy. “Florence Welch has long used her platform to speak out for reproductive freedom and care, including bravely sharing her personal experience with pregnancy loss,” Spruch said. “Her new album, Everybody Scream, is a powerful testament to the importance of ensuring everyone can make decisions about their own bodies.” The tour resumes April 8 at Target Center in Minneapolis after a month-long break. It supports the album Everybody Scream, released in October and peaking at No. 4 on the Billboard 200. Welch previously shared her 2023 ectopic pregnancy experience, which required emergency surgery and the loss of a fallopian tube. “The closest I came to making life was the closest I came to death,” she told The Guardian in September. Planned Parenthood has similar ties with artists like Olivia Rodrigo, who received its Catalyst of Change award last year, and signatories including Harry Styles and Megan Thee Stallion to a 2025 support letter.
