Gilla Band has announced its first new music in three years along with a series of tour dates extending into 2027. The Dublin band shared the single Giraffe with an accompanying animated video.
The four-piece group, consisting of Dara Kiely, Alan Duggan Borges, Daniel Fox, and Adam Faulkner, released the track after a period of relative quiet since touring its 2022 album Most Normal. In 2023 the band issued the one-off single Sports Day. Kiely described the new song in a statement, noting that his head can be a very scattered and sometimes lonely place and that the outro offers indirect confirmation that affection toward him does exist, though he still finds that hard to believe. The video for Giraffe was created by Cuan Roche and Chanthila Phaophanit.
