SMHI warns of large to very large risk of forest fires on Tuesday in northwestern Götaland, western Svealand, southern Norrland coast and other areas.
According to SMHI there is locally large to very large risk of forest fire in northwesternmost Götaland, parts of western Svealand and southern Norrland coastal landscapes. The risk is also large to very large in parts of southern Götaland, southern Öland as well as northern Götaland and eastern Svealand where gusty winds occur.
Meteorologist Anna Belking at SMHI notes that the rain during the weekend did not fall in sufficient amounts to keep the risk down for long. The warning applies on Tuesday after the warmth returns.
People in the affected areas are urged to check whether fire bans are in place. The warning covers among other places Örebro county and nearly all of Skåne.
