Jens Faber announces Neverland Train tribute to Jim Steinman

Jens Faber, guitarist of Dawn Of Destiny, has launched a new project called Neverland Train to honor the legendary songwriter Jim Steinman. The upcoming album features original compositions inspired by Steinman's work and is set for release in the first half of 2026. Faber collaborates with vocalist Marco Pastorino and drummer Patrick Klose on this endeavor.

Jens Faber, the multi-talented musician from Bochum and mastermind behind the power metal band Dawn Of Destiny, is paying homage to Jim Steinman through his latest venture, Neverland Train. Steinman, renowned for his collaborations with artists like Meat Loaf, Bonnie Tyler, and Celine Dion, achieved massive success with dramatic, theatrical compositions that defined rock anthems of the 1970s and 1980s.

Unlike a straightforward covers collection, the Neverland Train album will consist of original songs drawing from Steinman's influential style. Faber previously channeled similar tribute energy in his project Legions Of The Night, which celebrated the band Savatage. For this release, he reunites with El Puerto Records, the label behind Dawn Of Destiny's acclaimed albums.

Supporting Faber are vocalist Marco Pastorino, known from Temperance and Fallen Sanctuary, and drummer Patrick Klose, formerly of Dawn Of Destiny and currently with Iron Savior. The lineup includes Pastorino on lead and backing vocals, Faber handling backing vocals, guitars, bass, piano, and keyboards, and Klose on drums.

Faber expressed enthusiasm about the partnership: “I can proudly announce to be home again with El Puerto Records with another project called Neverland Train. I look forward to another great collaboration.”

El Puerto Records' head of promotion, Matt. Bischof, praised the material: “Jens Faber is a great musician who has not only released fantastic albums with us in Dawn Of Destiny, but also writes songs for Aeva Maurelle. That’s not the only reason why we quickly decided to support him with Neverland Train. The new album immediately had us “snapping our fingers”! Jens simply has an incredible feel for great melodies. I’m sure Jim Steinman would have loved the album too!”

This project evokes Steinman's epic works, such as those tied to the musical “Dance Of The Vampires” or the fiery track “Streets On Fire,” promising fans a fresh yet reverent musical journey.
