Logan Shaw scored 3:46 into overtime to give the Toronto Marlies a 5-4 victory over the Chicago Wolves in Game 2 of the Calder Cup Finals on Sunday at Allstate Arena in Rosemont, Illinois.
The Marlies now lead the best-of-seven series two games to none. Juuso Välimäki had tied the game for Chicago with 16.7 seconds left in regulation on his second goal of the third period.
Shaw chipped a loose puck over Chicago goaltender Cayden Primeau to end the contest. Vinni Lettieri recorded three assists in the game and leads the playoffs with 23 points.
Artur Akhtyamov stopped 28 shots for Toronto. Primeau made 27 saves after returning to the Chicago net.
Game 3 is scheduled for Tuesday night in Toronto.
