A man in his 60s has died after a serious accident during the enduro competition Gripendygnet in Strängnäs.
The accident occurred around 6 p.m. during a race in the 24-hour team event. The man, who was participating, was taken to hospital but died later.
Police say next of kin have been notified and no crime is suspected. An investigation has been opened because motor vehicles were involved.
The competition was halted after the accident. The organisers are in contact with the Swedish Motorsport Federation for crisis support and are following a prepared crisis plan.
