Michigan State's men's golf team will host the 14th annual Colleton River Collegiate this weekend in Bluffton, South Carolina. The event features 15 teams, including ranked squads from Cincinnati, Northwestern, and Kentucky. Competition begins Sunday with 36 holes, followed by 18 holes on Monday.
The University of Memphis men's golf team is set to return to action at the 14th Annual Colleton River Collegiate, hosted by Michigan State in Bluffton, South Carolina. The tournament kicks off on Sunday, March 1, 2026, with 36 holes starting at 7 a.m. CT, and concludes Monday with 18 holes beginning at 6:45 a.m. CT.
The Colleton River Club course is a par-72 layout measuring 7,403 yards. Fifteen schools will compete, including No. 39 Cincinnati, No. 42 Northwestern, No. 50 Kentucky, East Tennessee State, Indiana, Iowa, Iowa State, Kansas State, Memphis, Minnesota, Ohio State, Rutgers, and Tennessee Chattanooga.
Last year, Michigan State won the event, with Kansas State and Chattanooga placing second and third, respectively. The University of Missouri finished 11th out of 16 teams, led by Virgilio Paz, who tied for eighth at +2 (70-72-76) and recorded nine birdies.
Missouri's spring season began two weeks ago with a 16th-place finish at the John A. Burns Intercollegiate in Hawaii, where Paz scored +7 (71-73-73), leading the team for the first time this season. Through six tournaments, Veikka Viskari tops Missouri's stroke average at 72.28, followed by Trent Mierl at 73.06 and Paz at 74.00.
Missouri's lineup includes Viskari, Paz, Mierl, Reese Roberts, Brock Snyder, and individual Bubba Chapman. The Tigers' next event is the Michael A. Marino Classic on March 15.
