The PGA Tour event at Silverado Resort in Napa will not return in 2026, marking the first absence since 2014. Andy McDowell, executive director of the tournament, announced the discontinuation on Friday following the loss of title sponsor Procore Technologies. The tournament, which ran for 12 years, raised nearly $10 million for charity and overcame challenges like wildfires and the pandemic.
Andy McDowell, executive director of the past PGA Tour events at Silverado Resort and Spa in Napa, shared the news in a release on Friday morning. The announcement came three weeks after SPORTFIVE, the global sports marketing agency affiliated with McDowell, revealed that Procore Technologies had opted not to renew its title sponsorship. As a result, the event was removed from the FedExCup Fall series schedule.
McDowell expressed disappointment but highlighted the achievements over the tournament's 12-year run. "As previously communicated, Procore elected not to extend its partnership as our title sponsor," he wrote. "After working closely with the PGA Tour, we were recently informed of the difficult decision to discontinue the tournament we’ve proudly hosted in Napa for the past 12 years."
The event produced 10 champions, generated significant economic benefits for the region, and created lasting memories. It persevered through devastating wildfires, changes in title sponsors, and the global pandemic. McDowell emphasized Napa's unique community spirit as a key factor in its success.
The 2025 edition featured a strong field, including 10 members of the U.S. Ryder Cup team. World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler claimed victory in his Napa debut, adding to the tournament's prestige.
McDowell thanked the Impact Through Golf board, sponsors, volunteers, ticket buyers, community partners, Silverado Resort staff, and PGA Tour personnel. "Your commitment, energy and support made this event exceptional year after year," he stated. Several players have expressed that they will miss their annual visits to Napa.
