The Ndimande brothers, linked to the 2023 murders of rapper Kiernan ‘AKA’ Forbes and chef Tebello ‘Tibz’ Motsoane, are scheduled to appear in the Durban Magistrate’s Court on Wednesday. This marks their fourth court appearance since extradition from Eswatini in November 2025. They also face charges in a separate murder case involving a taxi boss in Amanzimtoti.
Siyabonga and Malusi Ndimande, the two brothers allegedly involved in the high-profile murders of Kiernan ‘AKA’ Forbes and Tebello ‘Tibz’ Motsoane, will return to the Durban Magistrate’s Court for their latest proceedings. The incident occurred in February 2023 outside a restaurant in Durban’s Florida Road entertainment district, where AKA and Tibz were gunned down.
In their previous court appearance, the brothers participated via video link. The state has announced their transfer to the eBongweni Super Max Correctional Facility in Kokstad, a high-security prison. This upcoming hearing represents their fourth since being extradited from Eswatini in November 2025.
Beyond the AKA and Tibz case, the Ndimandes face multiple charges, including murder related to the killing of a taxi boss in Amanzimtoti. The proceedings continue to draw attention amid ongoing investigations into the orchestration of the attacks.
