Deputy Prime Minister Temesgen Tiruneh stated at the launch of Ethiopia's Basic Infrastructure and Construction Week in Addis Ababa that ongoing national projects serve as reliable foundations for sustainable development. He emphasized the leadership principle of creativity, speed, and quality as key to Ethiopia's transformation. The event aligns with efforts toward national development visions.

Deputy Prime Minister Temesgen Tiruneh addressed the launch of Ethiopia's Basic Infrastructure and Construction Week in Addis Ababa on Miyaziya 9, 2018 (April 17, 2026), declaring ongoing national projects as reliable foundations for sustainable Ethiopian development.

"Infrastructure development is our lifeblood work," he said, highlighting achievements in roads, power, digital education, housing, airport expansion, and urban development. He stressed the need for coordination between Addis Ababa, Dire Dawa, and regional cities to achieve corridor development.

In the digital sector, the Digital Ethiopia 2025 strategy succeeded, expanding mobile users to 97 million and internet users to 57 million. Today, 28 cities have 5G users and 170 cities have 4G network users. Implementation of the approved Digital Ethiopia 2030 strategy has begun.

"What was imagined yesterday is for today, and what we build today is for the next generation," Temesgen stated, noting that Ethiopians are expanding their country rather than starting from zero.
